The Brief

Stage Design Bulgaria is the country's leading specialist in event lighting, stage design, and large-scale technical production. Their work spans national concerts, corporate events, television productions, and international festivals — but their digital presence failed to reflect the scale and quality of what they deliver.

The brief was clear: build a digital showcase powerful enough to win major contracts in the entertainment industry. Prospective clients — event organizers, festival producers, and corporate brands — needed to immediately understand the technical sophistication and creative vision behind every Stage Design Bulgaria project.

The existing web presence was outdated and static. It could not convey the energy, scale, or technical mastery that defines their work. The new website needed to feel as spectacular as the events themselves — while remaining fast, professional, and conversion-focused for high-value business development.

Our Process

We opened the project with an immersive content audit — gathering video footage, photography, and technical specifications from multiple productions. Understanding the full range of Stage Design Bulgaria's work was essential before designing a single screen, because the content needed to carry the experience, not just illustrate it.

The visual language was designed around drama and scale. Full-viewport video backgrounds on the homepage hero immediately drop visitors into the world of live events. Carefully sequenced section transitions use scroll-driven animations to reveal projects progressively — creating a narrative arc that mirrors the build-up of a live show. Colour grading, typography choices, and spacing were all calibrated to convey technical mastery and premium positioning.

The portfolio architecture was structured to showcase three core capability areas: 3D visualisation and pre-production, live event execution, and technical equipment expertise (ROBE fixtures, GrandMA consoles, timecode programming). Each project case within the portfolio includes role breakdowns, equipment lists, and behind-the-scenes imagery — giving procurement teams the technical evidence they need to make booking decisions.

Performance was a critical constraint. Video-heavy pages require careful asset management to avoid unacceptably slow load times. We implemented lazy loading, adaptive video delivery, and server-side caching to ensure the experience remained fluid across devices and connection speeds — including on-site access at event venues with limited connectivity.

Results

The website launched to immediate recognition within the Bulgarian entertainment industry. Stage Design Bulgaria reported a measurable increase in inbound inquiries from new clients — particularly from corporate event producers who cited the website's technical detail and visual quality as a primary reason for reaching out.

The portfolio structure proved especially effective in the sales process. Client-facing project pages gave the team a powerful tool for presenting past work during pitch meetings — turning the website into an active sales asset rather than a passive information source.

The combination of immersive visuals, technical credibility, and clear contact pathways established Stage Design Bulgaria's digital presence as a match for their real-world reputation — a powerful calling card for securing major contracts in the entertainment and events sector.
